YOUNG AT HEART

DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 PANDEMIC, ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN PAUSED AT THIS TIME.

The Young At Heart was organized to provide fellowship and opportunities for outings for our members who are age 60 and over. Our goal is to try to have one activity per month but with recent events going on, these have been limited. If you have any questions regarding our Young At Heart Program, have recommendations for upcoming events, or would like to become involved in this ministry, please contact us.

Listed below are a few of the places and activities we have enjoyed in the past few years:

Donahoe Hotel – We ate at this old hotel in Red Boiling Springs and then went on to the old Mulkie Church building in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.

Miss Bobo’s Boarding House – Located in Lynchburg, Tennessee. We enjoyed lunch and walked and shopped the square in Lynchburg.

Falcon Manor – Historical home in McMinnville, Tennessee. We toured the home and ate lunch in their party room.

Smoke on the Mountain – We enjoyed this musical at the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville after eating at the Spaghetti Factory on 2nd Avenue.

Amish Tour – Visited the Amish community in Etheridge, Tennessee and then enjoyed lunch at the Davy Crockett State Park.

Glendale, KY – Had lunch at the Whistle Stop Restaurant and shopped the antique stores and gift shops.

Cumberland County Playhouse – located in Crossville, TN. We enjoyed a buffet lunch at the Cumberland State Park and then drove to the Playhouse for a matinee.

Frist Center for the Arts – Nashville, TN. Had lunch at the Cafe and enjoyed a live performance of the great music of the 40’s and 50’s by Harry Stephenson. Following, we enjoyed a guided tour of the art exhibition.
