The Preschool Program

The Preschool Program was organized to provide fellowship and opportunities for our members who are age nursery to kindergarten. Our goal is to try to have several activities throughout the year.

Events and outings are planned by a committee of preschool parents. Activities range from trips to interesting places in Nashville to projects for the elderly such as a singing program.

Listed below are a few of the places and activities we have enjoyed in the past:

  • Sounds Game – The youngsters enjoyed a fun night of hot dogs, ice cream and baseball at our winning Nashville Sounds Stadium.
  • Easter Egg Hunt – Every Easter, the kids enjoy a fun-filled day of searching for the Easter Bunny’s eggs and goodies.
  • Sycamores Terrace Singing – All the kids provided entertainment for our Sycamore Terrace residents as they sang beautiful tunes for them.
  • Park Visits – During the year, events are planned at local parks that include playgrounds and water fun.
  • Vacation Bible School – Each year, the children anticipate our VBS program that provides lots of Bible Study, Crafts, and fun events.
  • Sunday Evening Story Hour – Each Sunday evening, our young children enjoy a story hour during our regular worship.

Grade School Program

The Grade School Program was organized to provide fun activities and service projects for all students in 1st through 6th grade. Our goal is to develop strong spiritual values and lasting friendships.

Listed below are a few of the activities we have enjoyed in the past year and several events on our future calendar:

  • Quarterly Devotionals – Quarterly devotionals are conducted each quarter. This is a great time for the kids to have a fun time of fellowship and study.
  • Family Cookout & Hayride – Each fall at the Fraternal Order of Police Camp in Wilson County, we get together to enjoy roasting hot dogs and marshmallows around a large bonfire and to set out on an adventurous hayride.
  • Service Projects – These events are planned to provide service to members of our congregation or community.
  • Santa Visit – Each year, Santa shows up at someone’s house for a night of fun.
  • Ice Skating – An ice skating event is planned at Centennial Sportsplex for a night of slips and slides.
